Mixed emoitions holiday

by Cunny78 @ 2007-12-03 - 01:52:09

After the long 8 hour day at work it was finally time for me to set off to Scotland. Car loaded, Petrol full I was on my way for the 2 hour drive.

18 miles into the trip up I came to a dual-carriageway, I followed a car onto the outside lane...as it came to a very tight bend the car in front pulled into the inside lane and I stayed wide. The car in-front came out wide into my lane forcing me to brake real hard causing me to lose control over the car. (it was wet) I was 1 meter away from dying, I just missed going through a wall into a fast flowing river.

I was ok though but very shaken up, same can't be said for the car though. The police came and asked me what happend etc and got my car towed away and the took me back home.

Great start to the holiday - NOT!!!

Anyway, the next day arrived and I got a hire car for the weekend to take up there. This time I managed to make it to Scotland, although I had a flashback when I drove past the spot where I crashed.

It knackered all my plans for the zoo, bowling etc but never mind. We had 4 days of awesomeness, really enjoyed it.

I took Adele swimming today to the Time Capsule. It was good we both really enjoyed it but she hurt her foot later on so we had to come out.

I bought them a laptop for christmas, I let them open in on Saturday though as I won't seem them again until the weekend before New Years Eve.

Just got back now, I can't sleep straight away after driving so thought I'd write a blog.

I have to go to the police station tomorrow, well technically today and give a statement and hopefully find out if the guy that caused me to crash is going to own up to it.

Well thats it for today.
Take care,
-L.

In the last 50 years the stories we tell have radically morphed. Stories of the Wizard of Oz, James Bond and Doctor Zhivago have become stories about nameless faceless terrors in the community, home and in the mind.outsourcing articles
